Temperature Range For Saltwater Fish Species

This is only a rough guide of desired temperatures for the listed species.  By using this guide you can possibly avoid targeting certain species when the water temperatures are not in the range that the species likes. There are variances to this chart like high oxygenated surface areas or schools of bait fish present, which would attract fish when the ideal temperaures may be exceeded.

Recommended Reel Drag Chart for IGFA Line Class

Consideration must be given to the speed, position, and the activity of the fish.
Lever quadrant reels have many benefits such as the brake can be moved and reset to the desired drag settings.
Anglers should check reel drag settings against scales and thus know where to set the brake for a striking drag and then for fighting the fish.
